Young
Tiger NTR seems to be in a very dangerous position at the box office
now. The actor's stardom has got severe cracks after no prominent
success over the last few years. Adding to that, two back to back
disasters recently, Ramayya Vasthavayya and Rabhasa have dented his
image very badly and this also took a severe beating on his market too.
For example, there are no takers for the Nizam rights of his next film
under the direction of Puri Jagannadh. The best offer for the Nizam
rights is 10 Crore (including all) by Global Cinemas which is very very
less considering NTR's star status. Usually Nizam is a weak territory
for Nandamuri heroes, this lean patch further affected NTR's market
here.
The makers are negotiating for a better deal here and may have to
release on their own if the offer do not go up and if they have
confidence on their product. Experts say that it is an alarming
situation for NTR now and if he fails now, his next project may not
fetch a two figure deal. Puri and NTR are ambitious to complete the film
by December and release it for January 9th, 2015 as Sankranthi gift.
Puri Jagannadh earlier directed NTR in Andhrawala and the film was an
utter flop. The duo wants to make amends for it now. Kajal Agarwal is
romancing NTR in this film. They have earlier paired up together in
Brindavanam and Baadshah. Anup Rubens will be composing music for this
film and it will be his first time for NTR.
