How did Rana Daggubati train for Anushka Shetty’s Rudhramadevi?

The Leader actor seems to have gone the extra mile to get his act right in this historical magnum opus

For nearly two years, Tollywood has been buzzing about the making of two mega budget historical movies - Baahubali and Rudhramadevi, which are being shot at the same time. While SS Rajamouli is still tirelessly shooting for his magnum opus, Anushka Shetty’s Rudhramadevi is all set to rock the silver screen on Sankranthi 2015.
We hear that Rana has gone to great lengths to deliver a flawless performance in Rudhramadevi. A source close to the film revealed,”Rana initially has no clue about the character. He personally went to Nidadavole to research about the character , and met
local historians to learn about the history.” Since he had to speak in a particular dialect, Rana had a hard time to get his lines right. “Rana is particular in getting his diction right. He used to get his dialogues a week in advance to practice them”, adds the source.
The actor who has been shuttling between shoots of Rudhramadevi and Baahubali, has action sequences as well as romantic scenes opposite Anushka. Playing a historic character, Rana had to undergo more than 30 costume changes for the film. Looking at Rana’s utmost dedication, no wonder the actor is extremely excited about his role in Rudhramadevi.
