Critics of Pawan Kalyan aver that in making Sampath Nandi wait for three years and then discarding him as the director of Gabbar Singh 2, he has played with the career of the latter and proved himself as insensitive.
One primary accusation was that Pawan let go of Sampath Nandi because the latter hailed from Telangana! This is nothing but utter rubbish!
It needs to be mentioned here that Pawan Kalyan’s good friend, Sharat Marar who is one of the producers for Gabbar Singh 2 and Gopala Gopala is also from Telangana. So, there is no merit to this accusation!

As for the question of making Sampath Nandi wait for three years: a project with Pawan Kalyan today is worth around 40-50 crore. People look at cinema only from an ‘entertainment’ point of view. But, at the end of the day, it is 100% commerce.
In any stream of life, what are the qualities and attributes expected of a person to be able to handle a project of this scale? And when ‘creativity’ is a primary aspect of this project, compatibility does become a major factor.
It would be interesting to find out how much Sampath Nandi was paid during this three-year period? Was he paid a salary, given an allowance or a refundable or non-refundable advance?
One incident about Pawan Kalyan revealed by director, Veera Sanker needs to be taken into consideration!
Veera Sanker said, “After Kushi became a super hit and big production houses were queuing up for the dates of Pawan Kalyan, he called me and offered me the chance to direct him because he had liked my first film, ‘Hello! I Love You’. All he said to me was that I was directing his next film and that ‘Anjana Productions’ would be producing it. That’s how ‘Gudumba Shankar’ happened and that movie created an identity for me. I can’t think of any other star hero who would do this.”
So, that’s it folks! Is Pawan Kalyan at fault in the ‘Sampath Nandi’ case?
