Sandalwood beauties turn towards K-town &T-town!
While
actresses from other filmdom are making their Sandalwood debut, here
are a bunch of Sandalwood actresses who are making their way towards
other south Indian languages.
After
established actresses like Nayanthara, Trisha, Adah Sharma and Anushka
Shetty are trying to make it big in Sandalwood, newbies, who are just
‘few’ movies old are walking towards other languages.
While
many blame on remakes as the reason for these actresses to move towards
other industries, many also expressed their opinion about lack of
creativity in Sandalwood.
A
struggling actress, who did not want to reveal her name said, “I
received a few remake offers from Sandalwood producers. But I do not
want to do the same role which someone has already done in some other
language. I want to try something new and co-incidentally I received a
call from a Tollywood producer and I kind of liked the script. So I am
going ahead with the project,” she said.
Recently
Simple actress Shwetha Srivatsav also announced about her Tollywood
debut. The actress, who has been chosen to play the lead role in Bommala Ramaram, says that the movie has a heroine-oriented subject and will have a super natural subject like Arundhati.
While Lucia actress Shruthi Hariharan will be seen in Nerungi Vaa Muthamidathe,
which is being directed by critically-acclaimed filmmaker Lakshmy
Ramakrishnan. Daughter of yesteryear actress Sumithra and director D
Rajendra Babu Nakshatra will be seen in Doo, opposite Sanjay of Munthinam Partheney fame. 21-year old Nakshatra is also waiting for her Mollywood release Vaidooryam, which is directed by Saseendra K Shankar.
Earlier
too actresses like Ramya, Rakshita Sanjjannaa and Sanchita Shetty have
migrated to other languages, but could not establish themselves in other
woods. We shall wait for the report cards of these newbie’s too!
