'Baahubali' Update: Tamannaah set to Team up with Prabhas
Rajamouli's "Baahubali" ("Mahabali" in Tamil) is getting
bigger and better. The film, which boasts of an interesting star cast,
has a latest addition to the list.
Actress Tamannaah is the new addition to "Baahubali" cast, which already has the likes of Prabhas, Anushka and Rana Daggubatti in pivotal roles.
Tamannaah has signed on to work in the epic drama, which is touted to be the costliest Telugu film to be ever made.
Rajamouli officially confirmed Tamannah's presence in the film on the pretty actor's birthday - 21 December. However, "Baahubali" team did not release any making-of video which has been their trend in the recent times. The team released three making-of trailers, each for Prabhas, Anushka and Rana's birthdays. The videos received massive response from fans.
But the team did not come out with any such video for Tamannaah's birthday as they haven't yet started shooting her portions. Director Rajamouli tweeted yesterday saying, "Yes. Tamannah is on board..and No... there's no making video for her b'day...:) We haven't shot anything on her yet.."
According to reports, Prabhas is donning two roles in the film - Baahubali and Shivudu. While Anushka's character Devasena has been paired with Baahubali, Tamannaah as Avanthika has been cast opposite the Shivudu character. This is the second time that Tamannaah appears as the female lead opposite Prabhas, after 2012-release "Rebel."
Rana plays the antagonist's role and his character is named as Bhallala Deva. The film's other cast members include Sathyaraj, Nassar and Ramya Krishna. Kannada actor Sudheep of "Eega" ("Naan Ee") fame is making a cameo appearance in the epic drama.
"Baahubali", which is reportedly made on a budget of around ₹100 crore, is produced by Shobu Yarlagadda, Prasad Devineni and K. Raghavendra Rao. The film's cinematography is handled by K. K. Senthil Kumar and its music is composed by M. M. Keeravani.
The magnum opus is all set to hit the screens in 2015.
